The patient came to the clinic to consult for his suffering from chonic kidney disease as per the allopathic diagnosis. He is very old—in his 80s. He is an ex-military man.He received the initial treatment at a military hospital. As per the patient, allopathic doctors were recommending starting dialysis. But the patient wanted a cure without any instrumental procedures. So, on another patient's recommendation, he visited my clinic. The patient's complaints at that time were the following:

1. Bitter taste of mouth, appetite lack, feverishness, and chill feeling.
2. Emaciated body
3. Fluctuation of WBC and RBC with low hemoglobin as per investigation report
4. Wt. = 53.6 Kg
5. Stool: scanty and delayed; hard stool
6. Urine output slightly decreased as per the patient's observation

Now I have to synthesise the case. So I segregated the Psoric Symptoms from the disease symptoms of the patient.

The Psoric Symptoms were:

IP-118: Bitter taste in the mouth, mostly in the morning. 2 (2 Not rarely, this is constant.)

IP-146: Want of appetite; only a sort of gnawing, turning and writhing in the stomach urges her to eat. (similar to LP-3 | IP-143 | IP-144)

After searching the Psoric Symptoms, I focused on the engagement of the vital principle and was intensely engaged in urinary organs, blood, thermoregulatory and the digestive system. I focused on sealing the vital energy first. The patient was old age so I avoid to start the treatment with antipsoric. I searched the symptoms as Bitter Taste of Mouth | Lack/Little/Want/Loss of Appetite/Hunger & Anorexia | Cachexia/Wasting/Emaciation | Ague/Intermittent Fever with Chill | Renal/Kidneys in MMP & TCD.

I found some (similar) medicines which are similar to the symptoms that I searched for. These were:

MMP: China, Arsenicum Album, Pulsatilla, Belladonna, Rhus Tox, Mercurius sol…

TCD: Arsenic Album, Lycopodium, Sulphur, Phosphorus, Calcarea Carb, Zincum

There were so many symptoms which were matched with China (Non-antipsoric).

The matching symptoms: 253 | 254 | 255 | 258 | 260 | 261 | 265 | 290 | 291 | 294 | 296 | 302 | 327 | 837 | 850 | 1046 |1051 | 1084.......

So I prescribed China 0/1 - 3.3.1.3 - TDS for the first 15 days with definite diet plan and lifestyle correction.

I applied the rules of potencies and dose repetitions and made medicine solutions for the patient according to the 6th Edition of Organon.

The follow-ups are as follows:

All symptoms improved with investigation reports of the patient's disease with happiness. His son is so happy with the treatment.
